Do I need Shopify to use it?
No. The desk runs on its own with an upload link. The Shopify and WordPress add-ons are optional.

Can I see my printers from the desk?
Yes, for Klipper (Moonraker) printers. A small bridge app on your network reports their status, so nothing is exposed to the internet.
